The news from Portman Road is not good.
Ireland’s Euro 2016 squad will be named in around six weeks time, but one of the country’s in-form midfielders may not be available for selection.
Alan Judge has enjoyed probably his best ever season as a professional footballer, and is a shoo-in to be Brentford’s Player of the Season.
He has only just made his Ireland debut, but news reaching us this afternoon suggests his season could well be over after a horror challenge in today’s game against Ipswich Town.
Judge was stretchered off after a heavy tackle from Luke Hyam and it does not sound good.
Early reports suggest the midfielder’s season could be over after a challenge from Hyam, and the pictures from the ground do not look good.
