Ilkay Gudogan’s PR agency would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids.
There are two sad truths in this world.
The first is that death is inevitable, the second is that a lot of professional athletes don’t run their own social media accounts.
They’re the two big ones anyway.
Even if they’re not willing to admit it, everyone knows that Memphis Depay probably wasn’t all that excited to see The Revenant, much like they know that if it was up to Mesut Ozil, he probably wouldn’t have tweeted a professionally taken photo of himself on the substitute’s bench during Arsenal’s preseason tour of America.
However, what people weren’t expecting was to see Manchester City new boy Ilkay Gundogan tweeting about how thrilled he was to join Arsenal on their preseason tour… accompanied by a photo of his compatriot Ozil.
The tweet was obviously meant for the Arsenal player’s account, which using our Sherlock-esque powers of deduction we have concluded must be controlled by the same person who runs Gundogan’s account.
It was only up for a few minutes, but that was long enough for the sneaky Twitterati to get their screenshots in and make the error go viral.

Wait a second, these are fake hands!
