“How many times has he said that?”
To say Roy Keane doesn’t rate Harry Maguire, would the understatement of the year, as the Irishman continuously calls out the Manchester United captain for his performances and interviews.
Keane, who of course captained United successfully for many years, obviously doesn’t believe that Maguire is up the standard required to lead the Old Trafford faithful.
The England defender has came out with a battle cry during an interview with MUTV, urging his teammates to continuing fighting, despite recently poor performances.
“I’m the captain and leader in the dressing room, and I’ve had private conversations with the players and the management which will remain private,” Maguire said.
“Make no mistake about it, I’m here for the fight and I know my team-mates are.
“I expect them to be and if they’re not then – like I said – there’s something wrong.

Keane, however, is taking this all with a pinch of salt, questioning the defender’s reliability when it comes to making such statements.
“How many times has he said that? I wouldn’t listen too much to what Harry has to say,” Keane said.

“I’ll judge a player on what he does on a football pitch, not what rubbish he comes out with about players sticking together and we need to do more. Judge a player on what he does on a football pitch and United aren’t doing enough.
