In testing times like these, sometimes you need a voice of reason to step in and reassure you.
Unfortunately, the world doesn’t have one of those at the moment. It does, however, have Piers Morgan.
The professional…something-or-other has been having his say on Donald Trump’s inauguration in the only way he knows how – by offering up misinformed football opinions which don’t really have anything to do with the subject at hand.
But hey, if you slap a hashtag on the end then it doesn’t really matter that the stuff before it has no correlation, right?
Sir Alex Ferguson is most successful manager in history. He's cocky, thin-skinned, volatile, unpredictable & fights fire with fire. #Trump

In fairness, there’s nothing to anger people more than bad-mouthing a Manchester United legend. Or doing the opposite for Trump. Or existing while being Piers Morgan.
And this came through in the rich tapestry that was the reaction to his tweet.
Yeah. Football & being the leader of the free world and having the nuclear codes. That's the same.

.@piersmorgan what have you been smoking Piers? You're comparing a man in charge of 11 blokes kicking a ball with finger on the nuke button!

Yes, but Ferguson is a football manager, he was never in charge of nuclear weapons & couldn't affect the environment or economy

Remember folks, just because he might have been fishing doesn’t mean he’s not also stupid – it can be both.
