The Armenian was one of Mourinho’s marquee signings since taking charge at Old Trafford, and although he didn’t score in the 2-0 win over Wigan, he did turn a few heads with his performance.
Although he was very positive about the performance as a whole, he told MUTV that he will not be sitting back and coasting after impressing early on. He vowed to keep improving and assured the fans that the best is the to come.
“I would say that it was a good game, but in the first half it was difficult because we couldn’t score a goal. We made a good game and I give thanks to my teammates.”
“I am trying to feel comfortable. Day by day it will get better. It doesn’t matter where I play. The most important is that the team wins games. That is the main thing.”
“I am trying hard. The first days are always very difficult because I have to get to know my teammates and their qualities. I am trying to do everything quickly. Game by game it will get better and better.”
Putting the team ahead of himself? Mark that down as a positive too.
