Hector Moreno continues to insist his challenge on Luke Shaw was fair.

The PSV defender has once again apologised for the tackle that resulted in Shaw fracturing his right leg in two places, but claims that, because he won the ball, the tackle was fair.

“No, no, I got the ball,” Moreno told Dutch newspaper Eindhoven Dagblad. “I looked back to see where the ball went and it was above the goal.”

Meanwhile, Shaw’s leg was in two pieces.during the UEFA Champions League Group B match between PSV Eindhoven and Manchester United at PSV Stadion on September 15, 2015 in Eindhoven, Netherlands.The United defender, who had started the season in excellent form, faces at least six months on the sidelines.

Moreno once again apologised for the incident, and despite continued claims to have made a fair tackle, wished Shaw a speedy recovery.

“I never meant to hurt him, I just meant to get the ball.”

“It was an accident, but there’s a lot of consequence, he’s out a long time now, he’s been through an operation and I just hope and pray for him and his family.”
