Nope. Absolutely no chance they’ve mentioned the possibility of being teammates at Real Madrid next season…
Eden Hazard and Kylian Mbappe will face each other on Tuesday night as Belgium and France meet in the *other* World Cup semi-final.
Both have played key roles in helping their teams to the last four. Hazard was particularly impressive as Belgium beat Brazil on Friday night, whereas Mbappe caught the eye by almost singlehandedly destroying Argentina in the last 16 stage.
As they prepare for the game in Saint Petersburg, Hazard has revealed he’s spoken to Mbappe over the phone on numerous occasions, explaining the pair have a mutual respect for one another.
“Mbappe? I’ve spoken to him on the phone quite a few times,” the Chelsea forward told BeIN SPORT.
“He watched footage of me when he was a kid. Now I watch footage of him. I have mad respect for what he does at his age. In modern football, it’s unheard of.”
With rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo is inching ever closer to a move to Juventus, both players have also been linked with moves to Real Madrid in the last few months.
Mbappe was thought to be close to joining the European champions before he signed for Paris Saint-Germain last summer and several reports have claimed he is seen as a replacement for Ronaldo should the Portugal captain complete his move to Turin.
Hazard is also a name that’s been linked with the Bernabeu in the past, with Marca reporting on Sunday that Real will look to sign him this summer if they fail to land Neymar.
