Hamstrings going, rugby tackles and cracking footwork: all the action from the Spurs pitch invasions

Steward takes a tumble as fans wreak havoc on the field

Conan Doherty

Things just got a little crazy…

The first half at White Hart Lane was an eventful one.  There may not have been many goals but there was no shortage of action as three pitch invasions held up the Tottenham Hotspur game.

One poor steward even looked to pull up with a hamstring injury as he took a nose dive to the turf eating the dust sparked by a character who had enough of sitting in the stand.

This guy, in fairness, wasn’t hanging about for no-one.

Eventually though, some of the Spurs players got in on the act with Moussa Dembele grabbing hold of one of the invaders and Roberto Soldado even looking like tripping one of them up in a show of impressive resourcefulness.

And, still, this man eluded them.

By the time a few others tried to join the action, the stewards were having none of it.
