GRAPHIC: The boots worn by the starting lineups of Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal

There are some peaches of cobblers out there

These boots are made for honest tackles.

The good people over at Football Boot Database have been counting boots… a lot of them.

They’ve crunched the numbers on the footwear worn by the squads in the top five leagues in Europe, Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1, and the results are pretty interesting.

Nike dominate the market with 50.9% of players donning boots bearing the famous tick. Adidas come in second with 38.6% while Puma are way out in third with 6.5%.

In the Premier League, the Magista is the most popular boot model. However, for league high-flyers Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United, that particular boot is represented quite poorly in the teams’ respective starting line-ups.

Check out the the shoes worn by their respective starting XIs below.
