The 35-year old has years left in him, according to Mauro Camoranesi
A quick search through our site under the name ‘Pirlo’ reveals a wealth of love and admiration for the man known to us simply as Andrea.
The 35-year-old Juventus man is a living, and still playing, legend and if these quotes from former club and country team-mate Mauro Camoranesi can be believed, we could have way, way more Pirlo to come.
He told FootballItalia: ‘Sometimes I hear criticism against him and I laugh. Pirlo can never be a problem, he solves problems. I was convinced that Pirlo could play until he’s 40, but given the current level of Italian football he can play until he’s 50 or 53. I don’t see anyone around with his quality or intelligence.’
If Andrea does tog out until he is 53, that will take us up to 2033, by which time much will have changed with football but Sepp Blatter will probably be still FIFA president.
