The former Ireland boss reckons the Liverpool striker is blowing through opportunities
It is a while since we heard anything from Il Trap. Since he left us behind, he has been linked with a few international gigs but he has largely been quiet but he has popped up today, giving his view on Mario Balotelli to an Italian newspaper.
The Daily Mail carry quotes from an interview he gave to La Nazione: ‘I do not know how Balotelli’s career will pan out in the future.
‘But I know that when he hangs up his boots he will realise the many opportunities he has wasted.
‘Part of the blame also has to go to Mino Raiola.’
Raiola, of course, is Balotelli’s agent and a man who has engineered £59m in transfer fees for the striker in the last four years. Raiola is also Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s agent and he hasn’t done too bad so it might be a bit harsh of Trap to pin all this on the agent.
