Lionel Messi may have the whole football side of football down, but he could do with some lessons in showmanship.
The Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi netted his 400th goal for the Catalans on Saturday, making it 2-0 against Valencia in stoppage time.
After showing his fine goal, the TV cameras panned away from the diminutive Argentine and missed his celebration. However, new footage has emerged which shows that Messi actually took an embarrassing tumble on the track behind the goal, mid-celebration.
This of course means that Messi has now ruined this landmark goal forever as he will always associate it with embarrassing himself in front of a stadium full of people. Not that he’ll mind though, he’s got a few more ones he can reminisce about. 399 to be exact.
