It’s fair to say that Juan Mata’s performance against Liverpool has been nothing short of spectacular.
The Spaniard opened the scoring with a finely struck effort in the first half. He then doubled both his and his team’s tally for the day with this beauty.
Mata latched on to an awkward lofted through ball and smashed it on the volley past Simon Mignolet between the Liverpool posts. The Liverpool keeper was left flat-footed as the fine strike went sailing into the bottom corner of the net.
