After an unsuccessful stint in management, Gary Neville’s coming back to the silver screen.
We missed Neville when he tried his hand at managing Valencia in La Liga, but Sky Sports have confirmed that he will return to Monday Night Football for the upcoming Premier League season.
However, things will be a little bit different for the pundit this time around.

Neville will rejoining his partner in crime Jamie Carragher on the show, but he will not be Carra’s co-star per se, but rather he will make a series of guest appearances alongside the Liverpool legend.
The former Red Devil confirmed in a Sky Sports press release announcing his return that he will be set for a slightly different role on MNF, allowing him more time to pursue other projects outside of broadcasting.
“I am delighted to be rejoining Sky Sports and can’t wait for the start of the new football season, especially as there will be a variety of new programming on the channel.
“It is important for me that my role will be slightly different, and I am looking forward to the challenge of working on some new, creative and exciting projects.”
Seconds after the news broke, Carragher was quick to get a gag in on Twitter, which warranted a swift, witty response from Neville.

Banter merchants of Venice, the pair of them are. They’ll be sure to get more than their half a pound of bantz in the upcoming season.
Jamie Carragher, Graeme Souness, Thierry Henry and Jamie Redknapp will also return for Sky Sports this season.
