Gary Neville rejigs ‘Allez, Allez, Allez’ chant to rub it into Liverpool fans

Jack O'Toole

He may be one of the best pundits in football but Gary Neville is still a Manchester United fan at heart.

Neville has earned a lot of plaudits in recent seasons for his tactical analysis of football and for his ability to provide insight and relevant information to football fans, and while he is certainly thriving in his post-playing career, this is still a man that once kissed his Manchester United badge in front of Liverpools fans after Rio Ferdinand’s late winner against the Reds in January 2006 and said afterwards that the £10,000 fine he had to pay for his exuberant celebrations was ‘absolutely worth it’.

Neville wanted to stick it to Liverpool then and he certainly wants to stick it to them now after tweeting a rejig of the club’s widely popular Allez Allez Allez chant.

The song has become almost synonymous with Liverpool’s run to this year’s Champions League final and here’s how Neville’s effort compares to the Liverpool chant:

‘We’ve conquered all of Europe.

‘We’re never gonna stop.

‘From Paris down to Turkey.

‘We’ve won the f***ing lot.

‘Bob Paisley and Bill Shankly.

‘The fields of Anfield Road.

‘We are loyal supporters.

‘And we come from Liverpool.

‘Allez, Allez, Allez.’
