Gary Neville has tweeted a message of support for Jamie Carragher.
Carragher has been suspended by Sky Sports after he was filmed spitting at a car which contained a 14-year-old girl and her father. The incident occurred following Saturday’s match between Liverpool and Manchester United at Old Trafford.
The former Liverpool defender called his behaviour “unacceptable” and apologised to the family.
He apologised further on Sky News on Monday afternoon.

Carragher’s Sky Sports colleague, and former England teammate, Neville offered his support to him.
Neville didn’t excuse Carragher’s behaviour, but said he shouldn’t lose his job for what was an “isolated incident.”
