Ahead of the launch of Fifa 17 on September 27th, EA Sports have been releasing information on players’ ratings for the game.
The top three rated players in the game have been revealed, and while no-one was surprised to see Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi make the cut, the order has annoyed some.

Ronaldo is rated higher than Messi and some view the decision from EA as being akin to blasphemy.
honestly not even getting fifa 17 for the sole reason that ronaldo is rated higher than messi

If that wasn’t bad enough for Messi fans, EA have only gone and rated Dimitri Payet as a (slightly) better passer.

While the Fifa series is popular the world over, and gives countless hours of entertainment to millions of people, it’s probably better not to read too much into the ratings.
Because, you know, it’s just a game.
Gary Lineker best summed up how it’s not worth getting into a muddle over player ratings for the game, and we couldn’t agree more.
It's a game. It's not real. Messi is the best passer ever. They are taking the piss! Don't take it to heart. https://t.co/OSoDLjG9jI
