Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be stuck for pocket money if he pitches up at Manchester United this summer.
The Swede will have his pick of rich clubs after his current deal at PSG runs out just weeks before the European Championships.
The striker is understood to be interested in move to the Premier League, and has long been touted as a shock possible signing for Manchester United.
There will be no transfer fee involved of course, but according to this morning’s Daily Star, if he does arrive at Old Trafford, he will cost the club almost a £1million a month.
The newspaper is reporting that the ex-AC Milan striker will only be second to Wayne Rooney on the payroll with an estimated wage bill of £250,000 per week.
Any deal would be a short term contract, perhaps only for one or two seasons, but the club is willing to take a risk on the forward if he can reinvigorate the club’s attacking options next season.
Any deal for Ibrahimovic is likely to mean the end for Louis van Gaal, who had a high-profile falling out with the Swede in 2004 when both were at Ajax, while Jose Mourinho is known to be a fan of the charismatic front-man.
