When Der Kaiser, speaks, people tend to listen.
Mario Gotze may feature for the final time for his current club Bayern Munich this afternoon if we are to read anything into comments coming from the club’s most famous son.

Franz Beckenbauer is Munich’s honorary president and while he may not be directly involved with the club’s running day-to-day, he is still seen as a very powerful figure around the club.
The former World Cup winner with Germany as a player and manager is in attendance at the German champions final game of the season this afternoon against Hanover, and before kick-off, Beckenbauer was asked about speculation suggesting Gotze could be sold this summer.
The former Borussia Dortmund man has failed to sparkle under Pep Guardiola and has long been linked with a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Beckenbauer feels it could be the best move for all concerned if the German international did move on.

Various reports in Germany suggest Gotze would prefer to stay in Germany, but the chance of a reuniting with Klopp, and the indication that Bayern may prefer to see he play in England rather than in the Bundesliga next season, may suggest he is Anfield bound.
