It is feared the 28-year-old may have internal haemorrhaging
Bad news is emerging from Argentina today about former Liverpool winger Sebastian Leto.
The Mail are reporting that the player is in intensive care in his native Argentina after an incident at the gym.
They report that Leto, who is currently on loan from Italian side Catania with Argentinian club Lanus, was doing some squats when a barbell fell on head. Leto suffered a deep cut to the head, went to hospital and was discharged after being treated.
However, Leto continued to suffer headaches and he has since been readmitted to hospital and he may now require surgery as the fear is he has internal haemorrhaging.
Reports in Argentina say that if he does have to undergo an op, he will be out of action for three months.
Leto, who signed for Liverpool in 2007, played for the Reds 15 times before a loan move to Panathinaikos became a permanent deal in 2009.
