Former Liverpool, West Ham United and Cameroon defender Rigobert Song is reportedly fighting for his life after being rushed to hospital in Yaounde.
The 40-year-old, uncle of former Arsenal, West Ham and Charlton midfielder Alex, suffered a stroke and has been placed under observation, according to Cameroon-Info.net.
Former clubs have sent well-wishes the way of the popular former player, who won more than 100 Cameroon caps in his playing days.
Samuel Eto’o and Patrick Mboma, former Premier League players and teammates of Song with Cameroon’s national side, have also sent messages of support.
