WATCH: Footballer snaps and hurls corner flag at opposition fans who threw banger at him

Kevin McGillicuddy

The game was, of course, abandoned.

Swedish football is not normally the place you expect mad things like this to happen.

The Swedes are a nice, polite, bunch for the most of the time.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for their supporters and footballers, who found themselves in the midst of a bizarre incident tonight.

Malmo faced Gothenburg in a regular league game when Malmo sub-Tobias Sana had a banger thrown at him while warming up.

The player, did not take too kindly to the incident, and lost the rag, as he approached a corner flag, took it out of its position, and fired it at the abusive supporters.

The tweet sounded dramatic enough.

Until you saw the actual footage.

The game was of course quickly ended by a referee who was worried about an all-out riot.

If the football doesn’t work out, maybe Tobias could chance a role as an extra in the Avengers, or the Olympics.
