You never think it’s going to be you.
Ashley Cole is on the move and the tension is real.
Having agreed to cut his contract short in Roma after just 12 months, the former England left back has been touted by a number of clubs but he’ll miss his friends in Italy.
Alas, it seems that he will be joining up with Robbie Keane and Steven Gerrard in LA Galaxy. Reportedly, at least.
A number of clubs had a couple of close calls with scares that they’d be forced to support the 35-year-old for a while but the Americans at least can enjoy the blissful ignorance.
With Aston Villa playing right-sided midfielder Leandro Bacuna at left back, they were heavily linked with the former Chelsea and Arsenal player and they’re still not out of the running unfortunately.
But The Sun are reporting that Cole is on his way to Los Angeles to join the 2014 MLS champions.
No reason or source or anything. That’s just what they’re saying. And now we’re reporting their report.
All we can say to the rest of you is… good luck during this storm. You’re not through it yet. Stay safe.
