Fantasy Football fans go into absolute meltdown with heartbreaking injury news for Bournemouth

Awful luck

Conan Doherty

If Bournemouth didn’t have bad luck, they’d have no luck at all.

Eddie Howe faces a hell of a task to get his team firing after the news that star striker Callum Wilson is going to be out for most of the season – if not all of it.

Wilson has bagged five goals already this season in the league for the newly-promoted Cherries but he suffered a cruel blow at the weekend having ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament and is now expected to be out for at least six months.

Bournemouth are currently three points clear of the drop zone after seven games but the loss of Wilson for potentially the entire season is major.

But if you feel bad for the player or for everyone’s second favourite Premier League team, how do you think Fantasy Football gamers are taking the news?

Wilson came at a bargain £5.5m at the start of the season and racked up 38 points – 33 of which were in his last four games before the injury.

And the news of his lengthy layoff is breaking hearts all over the Fantasy Football world.
