If you’re one of those people who doesn’t believe a transfer rumour until a player is holding up the club shirt, you won’t have long to wait on Leroy Sané’s Premier League arrival.
Schalke have confirmed that the German international will not join the club for their pre-season training camp because he’s in Manchester.
And, given how much we’ve heard about Pep Guardiola’s admiration of the teenager, we’re pretty sure we know exactly which part of the city he’s visiting.

For the uninitiated, Sané is a very exciting young winger, who burst onto the scene with a special goal against Real Madrid in the 2014/15 Champions League and fired home nine goals from deep last season.
An exciting winger whose Euro 2016 impact wasn’t as significant as some had hoped… wait a minute, don’t Manchester City already have one of those?

Understandably, questions are being asked about what this all means for Raheem Sterling, despite the England man only having joined one year ago for £49m.
City have already added Nolito to their ranks this summer, and with record signing Kevin de Bruyne all but guaranteed one of the three starting spots behind Sergio Aguero, people are already beginning to wonder how much action Sterling will see under the new manager.
And that’s before you factor in Patrick Roberts, out on loan this season and making waves north of the border, but likely to be in the mix come August 2017.
Sané will be a class signing for City especially under Guardiola's tutelage. With the addition of Nolito, Sterling is really under threat.

First Nolito, now Sane for Manchester City. Two wonderful signings. Sterling must be worried.

Leroy Sane clouds that #MCFC midfield even further. Who will play? Feels like only KDB is nailed on. Sterling, Nolito, Silva, Sane rotated?

It’s going to be a big few months for Sterling, as he looks to rediscover the form which made him one of the most sought-after talents in the country.
