Talk about playing hardball.
Liverpool are refusing to take a €9 million loss on Christian Benteke.
The Reds paid €39 million for the Belgian forward less than a year ago but the Merseyside club are holding firm on their €36 million asking price for the former Aston Villa man.
Crystal Palace formally launched a €30 million bid for Benteke on Friday but, according to the Liverpool Echo, that approach has been rebuffed by Liverpool, who refuse to lower their valuation.
Benteke endured an altogether underwhelming debut season with the Reds, scoring 10 goals in 42 appearances all season, and supporters are willing to bite potential bidders’ hands off for a fee of €30 million.
@UniqueRiggers Who actually has that little sense to reject 25mil for Benteke, do the Watford owners run us as well
