“Oh my goodness! Oh my goodness!”
That’s all you could hear from the stands after Lucas Moura’s 95th minute winner for Tottenham against Ajax on Wednesday.
The Dutch club were just seconds away from making their way back to their first Champions League final since 1995 when Moura ran onto a Dele Alli pass to fire Spurs into their first ever European Cup final.
The Ajax players dropped one by one into the turf as the pitch swallowed them up while Moura led his teammates off into the corner to celebrate the greatest moment in the club’s history.

The goal marked the Brazilian’s third strike of the game and his second hat-trick of the season after scoring three against Huddersfield last month and the forward said that his match winner against Ajax was the best moment of his career.
“Always believe in this moment,” he said. “We gave everything on the pitch and deserved this moment – we are family. Everyone worked really hard.
“It’s difficult to play here against Ajax but I always believed in my team-mates. Football is amazing – it gives us a moment like this. We cannot imagine. It’s the best moment in my career.”
