Tough day to be Louis van Gaal.
Sam Allardyce won’t even read your dossier and Jorge Mendes is back in the press taking swipes at the manager who has picked up more points than any other Premier League team in the last 15 games.
But talk of Radamel Falcao’s unrest is never going to die easy and the Colombian’s agent has hinted to ESPN that the striker might not be around Old Trafford in the summer.
“If Falcao does not stay in Manchester, he will be at one of the other five or six best teams in the world,” he said.
“He didn’t make a mistake when he chose Monaco. He is a champion. I miss Ferguson at Manchester United. With him and this squad the situation would be different.”
But, whilst van Gaal has deployed his summer signing 16 teams in the league thus far, he has rarely persisted with him for the full 90 minutes and, for that, Mendes also believes the manager is a fool. Well, those weren’t his exact words but you get it.
“I know that if they give Falcao five complete matches, I am convinced that he would score goals in practically all of those matches.”
Falcao has hit just four league goals for United this season but, when he does find the net, he can at least say that the side don’t lose.
The 29-year-old came off the back of hitting 52 goals in 68 La Liga games before leading the line for Monaco as well with 11 in 20 league matches in France.
