Radamel Falcao’s time in the Premier League has been a disaster.
That’s not us trying to be negative, it’s just a basic fact, as the Columbian striker flopped at Manchester United, and is currently wearing a groove in the bench at Chelsea.
The former Monaco frontman looks very much like he is on the scrapheap, but there could be some light at the end of the tunnel.
The 30-year-old was once feared as one of the very best strikers on the planet.
And it seems that his parent club are willing to give him one more chance to prove that he is not a total waste of space this summer.
According to the Daily Mail, the french side’s vice-president Vadim Vasilyev, feels the Colombian may still have a role to play with his parent club.
“We thought about bringing him back in January, but he was injured.
‘We’ll see what happens at the end of the season. We won’t exclude the possibility of him coming back to the club in the summer.”
Falcao has scored just one goal for Chelsea this season while he is currently injured after suffering a calf strain recently.
How any club would even consider taking him back is beyond us, but we’d hazard a guess that perhaps a wage cut may be in order.
