Fabio Borini ignores Suarez, Totti and Gerrard as he picks Balotelli as the best he’s played with

Is he trolling us?

Believe it or not, we’re not going to jump aboard the “Balotelli is terrible” bandwagon.

We enjoy a joke at Mario’s expense but there’s clearly a decent player in there somewhere. There has to be.

But we think Fabio Borini may need to pump the brakes a bit on his glittering praise for his fellow Italian.

Borini, who signed for Sunderland from Liverpool in the summer, gave an interview to the Black Cats official YouTube page and revealed that Balotelli is the best player he’s played alongside.

“The best player I think, potentially, is Balotelli. And Pirlo as well.”

To be fair, Borini does add Andrea Pirlo as an afterthought but the fact that he ignored the likes of Luis Suarez, Steven Gerrard Philippe Coutinho, John Terry, Frank Lampard, Didier Drogba and Francesco Totti makes us worry a bit about his decision-making.
