65 played, 50 scored.
Mo Salah has hit the half century of goals and it hasn’t taken him too long. He hasn’t been on fire this season, but in the last week or two, the flamboyant Egyptian has shown signs of a return to the type of form that saw him nominated for a Ballon d’Or last year.
He netted a tidy goal at the weekend to see Liverpool over Huddersfield and he was at it again on Wednesday night, when his brace helped Jurgen Klopp’s men to a 4-0 win over Red Star Belgrade at Anfield.
Already leading against the Serbian champions thanks to Roberto Firmino’s opener, Salah scored his first goal of the night just on the stroke of half-time.
Displaying all the zip and zest of last season’s heroics, Salah broke onto a Shaqiri pass before finishing with aplomb past the ‘keeper.

Early in the second-half, he added his second from the penalty spot and this game was all over bar the shouting.
They went onto put four past the Belgrade outfit and Pool fans have plenty of cause for optimism over Wednesday night’s display.
Firmino, Mane and Salah all getting on the score-sheet bodes well but it was the display of Brazilian midfielder, signed from Monaco for €50 million during the summer that turned the most heads.
The 24-year-old has only played 21 minutes of Premier League football this season with Klopp admitting that it’s taken him some time to adapt, but the evidence of Wednesday night’s display – one of his first starts since joining the club -suggests he’s finding his feet in England.
The combative midfielder made more tackles in 60 minutes than any Liverpool player has made in a game this season. He patrolled the midfield with poise and conviction and his passing was also positive and accurate.
And Liverpool fans are speculating that Jordan henderson’s place could be in jeopardy.
Fabinho lad, running the game. Henderson’s turned his TV off.

Fabinho excellent tonight. Proving why Henderson should never start again and why the captains armband should stay with Van Dijk

Liverpool had beaten Paris Saint-Germain in their opening game of this season’s Champions League but lost to a last-gasp Lorenzo Insigne goal away at Napoli in game two.
This 4-0 win gets them back on track and they’re now on course for a place in the last 16.
