FA ask Bacary Sagna to explain his deleted social media post

Not that you'd know it from the manner of Pep Guardiola's post-match interview, but Manchester City actually *won* against Burnley on Monday.

A solemn-faced Pep delivered a string of awkward responses when speaking to the BBC's Damian Johnson after the 2-1 victory. Fernandinho's straight red in the first half had made it a more difficult afternoon than many had anticipated it to be for City. Many suggested Pep's post-match mood was influenced by Lee Mason's decision. Seemingly, Bacary Sagna was also pretty hacked off with the officiating in the match. In a since deleted post on his Instagram account, the French international wrote: "10 against 12.. but still fighting and winning as a team." The Football Association have now asked Sagna, who was booked after Ben Mee's goal for Burnley, to explain the post... even though it's quite obvious what he was getting at. Sagna has until 5pm on Friday to respond to the FA, and could potentially be suspended for bringing the game into disrepute. City are third in the Premier League after the win over Burnley, although Arsenal and Tottenham can overtake them if they win their games in hand. They face an away trip to West Ham in the third round of the FA Cup at the weekend, before returning to league action when they face a trip to Everton on January 15.
