The Football Association have now asked Sagna, who was booked after Ben Mee's goal for Burnley, to explain the post... even though it's quite obvious what he was getting at.
Sagna has until 5pm on Friday to respond to the FA, and could potentially be suspended for bringing the game into disrepute.
City are third in the Premier League after the win over Burnley, although Arsenal and Tottenham can overtake them if they win their games in hand.
They face an away trip to West Ham in the third round of the FA Cup at the weekend, before returning to league action when they face a trip to Everton on January 15.Explore more on these topics:
