You wouldn’t like Fergie when he was angry.
And especially if he plugged in his infamous hair dryer at half time when his Manchester United side weren’t doing well.
The hair dryer is now of course retired, along with Ferguson himself, but a player who was one of the first to experience the infamous dressing room treatment has explained how frightened the players were to see their boss lose the head in the changing room.
Clayton Blackmore spent 12 years at Old Trafford, but as explained to The Mirror, the first time Ferguson went ape in a dressing room, and set the hair dryer to full blast, was a memorable experience.
“The first hair dryer treatment was down at Torquay I think. It was 0-0 at half-time and he went a bit berserk, and gave us an idea of what could happen if we didn’t play well.
“That is where he kicked the teas, orange juice. Everything went all over the place. It was everywhere but you know he was very fiery and just had to get it out of his system.”
