Arise, Ryan Manning.
There’s a pattern emerging in west London and it looks like it’s about to reveal the simplest of formulas. It goes a little like this: QPR play Ryan Manning, QPR win.
It’s been a whirlwind week for one of Galway United’s finest products. On Saturday, he was handed his first appearance for the Championship club, he was given 90 minutes, they put to an end a six-game losing run.
On Monday, he was handed his first start at Loftus Road, he was planted right into the middle of the Rangers midfield, they started a two-game winning run.
Successive 2-1 wins over Wolves and Ipswich have lifted QPR away from imminent danger in the table and sparked manager Ian Holloway to heap massive praise on a former Ireland under-19 and under-17 player.
“I think Ryan Manning was absolutely outstanding and epitomised what my QPR was before and what I want it to be in the future,” the boss said.
The former Mervue player has been in London a year this month but it looks like he’s going to have a job on his hands now moving back home any time soon.
Because now QPR are ushering in the era of Manning and, ahead of their FA Cup third round clash with Blackburn Rovers on Saturday, the 20-year-old is not just in Ian Holloway’s plans, he’s all over the club’s match day programme cover.

And how it is palpable.
No QPR player attempted more passes (39) or regained possession (9) more times against Wolves than Ryan Manning. #QPR

Manning was sprang a little out of the blue when the club were in a rut but, two games later and he has helped reproduce the feel-good factor.
