The Champions League offers fans an opportunity to watch some of the world’s best players in action.
For those who don’t follow Spanish football as closely as they might like, this was a chance to witness Barcelona’s formidable MSN frontline in full flow as the Catalan club took on Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16.
But anyone looking forward to a visual treat was met with one very major stumbling block: Barça’s very striking away kit.
With PSG donning their famous blue, it was time for Luis Enrique’s side to give their reverse strip a chance. And, while it might not quite be on the level of that ‘tequila sunrise’ effort from a couple of years ago, it wasn’t quite as easy on the eye as a Lionel Messi free-kick.

While Ángel Di María was busy giving the French champions the lead in their two-legged encounter, much of Twitter was engrossed by the electric blue offering.
They couldn’t keep their eyes off it, though that might not necessarily be a good thing.
The kit Barca is wearing tonight should be outlawed. Just looking at it makes me sick 🙁

The drinks comparisons remained, but tequila went back onto the shelf.
I really dont like Barcelona's away kit, they look like a mojito or a pina colada #bbcfootball

Or maybe something even worse for anyone who opts to drink it.
The state of Barcelona's kit. Looks like packaging on a bathroom cleaner. #ChampionsLeague

Perhaps it was a deliberate ploy from the 2015 champions.
Barcelona's other kit is not easy on the eye. Cunning tactic to blind the opposition. #PSGFCB

The kit did win itself some fans, though.
Barcelona's kit is so nice 😍
