Few would have predicted Manchester City to get rolled over 4-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon.
Even fewer would have predicted young Ademola Lookman to get his name on the scoresheet for Everton.
After all, in a game against a team that many were expecting to win the Premier League title at an absolute canter a few weeks back, it was hard to imagine Ronald Koeman being in a position where he could throw on the 19-year-old for a debut.
As it turned out, Lookman did find the back of the net in the game, rounding off the scoring after coming on as a substitute as the game entered stoppage time.
Even more remarkably, one individual *did* predict it, in a tweet that’s since been clocking up thousands of retweets.
Twitter user @Jordolenko, whose account shows that he’s an Evertonian, not only predicted that the former Charlton youngster would score in ‘the last few minutes’, he also described how the goal would come courtesy of a mistake by former Everton defender, John Stones.
As you’ve probably seen by now, Lookman slotted home Everton’s fourth goal after Stones’ attempted clearance had rebounded to him off one of his teammates.
For his sake, we hope @Jordolenko stuck a fiver on it…
