Everton are making a powerful statement with their match day programme for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Bournemouth.
The city of Liverpool have united in welcoming a jury’s verdict earlier this week that found the deaths of 96 football fans in 1989 at Hillsborough unlawful.
The jury reached their verdict of unlawful killing on a majority of 7-2, a verdict which came as a huge relief to the families affected, who finally gained some sense of justice from the tragic deaths of their loved ones 27 years ago.

The stadium disaster happened during the FA Cup semi-final between Liverpool and Nottingham Forest, but it shook the entire football community worldwide. For Everton fans, the tragedy hit a little closer to home as dozens of those who died in the tragic incident had relatives and friends who supported the Toffees.
Saturday’s match day programme symbolises their unity with their city rivals over the momentous verdict.
