Age is just a number.
Robbie Keane is possibly Ireland’s best ever player.
For all the criticism he has come under over the years he has always been a fan favourite.
The Dubliner bagged 126 Premier League goals in his day to add to his 68 international goals.
To get to that level of success requires a lot of hard work and there is no doubting that Keane is one of the hardest workers out there.
The former Tottenham captain is without a club at the moment and has been since he left LA Galaxy at the end of 2016.
With rumours that he might reunite with Harry Redknapp at Birmingham, the 37-year-old has been hard at work.
Keane has been training with Shamrock Rovers since he left Los Angeles and even at the latter stages of his career he hasn’t taken things easy.
As per The Times, Shamrock Rovers manager Stephen Bradley revealed that Keane’s work ethic is still second to none.
“He’s still in every day, training like a 17 year old,” the Shamrock Rovers manager told reporters. “He’s first on the pitch and last off it.
“He’s great with the lads as I said and that hasn’t changed one bit, if anything he’s got better because he’s doing more coaching and has got more comfortable around the group and they’ve got more comfortable around him.”
