It must be a struggle for Jose Mourinho to get out of bed these days.
His job at Chelsea is on the brink after recording a sixth Premier League defeat in 11 games against Liverpool on Saturday, he is battling a league-wide conspiracy at the hands of broadcasters and referees, his players are revolting and now he is being sued.
It was always likely there would be legal ramifications after Eva Carneiro was effectively stripped of all matchday duties but the former team doctor has decided to take action against the embattled manager separately from the club.

Carneiro and physio Jon Fearn were relieved of hands-on duties by Mourinho after the Chelsea manager was enraged by the pair’s decision to treat Eden Hazard during the champions’ opening day draw with Swansea at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho was heavily criticised for publicly haranguing Carneiro by the medical community and figures within football, including Heather Rabbatts, chair of the Football Association’s Inclusion Advisory Board.
Legal action was always likely after Carneiro left the club in September.
