It looks like Eden Hazard will prove to be the final Chelsea player to have been treated by Eva Carneiro.
Carneiro was thrust into the public eye when she came in for criticism from Jose Mourinho after she had run on to offer treatment to Hazard late on in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea on August 8.
And it’s being reported by the Daily Mail that the now-former Blues first team doctor has left the club with which she worked for six years.
Carneiro was given a new role by Chelsea in the wake of the Swansea incident which would see her work more with the players at the club’s Cobham training ground, rather than on matchdays.
It’s reported that Carneiro didn’t show up to work last Friday after being instructed to do so by Chelsea and failed to appear at the training ground on Monday too.
A bitter legal battle between the Gibraltar-born medic and Chelsea is expected as Carneiro plans to bring legal proceedings against her employer, with sexism reportedly forming a part of the constructive dismissal case.
