Pace is over-rated anyway …
You may have thought they have both retired but Emile Heskey and Eidur Gudjohnsen are both terrorising playing against defences in the Championship.
After signing a short-term deal Heskey came on for his Bolton debut against Blackburn at the Macron Stadium.
But what made it particularly interesting is that the former Liverpool man was paired alongside Gudjohnsen, giving Bolton’s strike force a combined age of 72.

Those laughing (certainly not us) were soon made to eat their words as Gudjohnsen played an inch-perfect cross into Heskey’s pass and he made no mistake from close range to score Bolton’s equaliser.
Twitter was set alight by Heskey’s goalscoring return.
Heskey has more league goals than Balotelli. He signed this week.

Bolton losing 1-0 at half time, bring on Heskey, he scores 1 and assists 1. A Christmas miracle. #LordHeskey pic.twitter.com/0kJ4emznnV
