If you’re going to go down, you may as well go down swinging.
But for Arsene Wenger’s troops tonight in the 5-1 hammering to Bayern Munich, they gave up the match with barely a whimper.
The Gunners were desperately poor from the opening minute to the last as they were cut apart by David Alaba, Thomas Muller and their team-mates to slump to another loss in this year’s Champions League.
Arsenal were not only outplayed though, and what will frustrate their supporters even more than a spanking by one of the best teams in Europe, is how poor their efforts to get stuck into their opponents was.
Arsenal's back four have won just 2 tackles against Bayern Munich tonight. Both from Mathieu Debuchy. #AFC pic.twitter.com/9b72DL6zWP

Munich’s passing and movement clearly had the Arsenal defence in such a state that the players could hardly get close enough to make a tackle, not to mind successful one.
And Peter Schmeichel doesn’t want Pep to take over at Manchester United.
Unbelievable.
