Eden Hazard says he is ‘interested’ by move to Real Madrid

Chelsea and Belgium winger Eden Hazard has said that he would be ‘interested’ by a move to Real Madrid and that the reigning European champions know what to do if they want to come get him.

Hazard has said before that he wants to know Chelsea’s plans before deciding his future at the club and in an interview with French publication L’Equipe he reiterated his desire to wait and see Chelsea’s summer intentions before making a decision on his club future.

“If I stay then it would be because they are going to improve on last season,” he said. “I am not going to remain if they are going to be worse.

“Real Madrid could be interesting for me as everyone knows. They know what they have to do if they want me.

“If it is going to Madrid just to go there then no. I need a project and at Chelsea I have one. If I have a good World Cup then it will all be a lot easier. I don’t want to speak about transfers at the moment because I have been asked a lot and in London I have won everything except for the Champions League. I am at this stage of my career thanks to Chelsea.”

Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is in pole position to succeed Antonio Conte as head coach at Stamford Bridge should the 48-year-old part ways with the London club as expected.
