Eden Hazard really didn’t help himself when asked about a move to Real Madrid

Hey, at least he's honest

Journalists often give out about how boring footballers can be in interviews.

Footballers love using the same old phrases and not really saying anything at all, Chris Wood brought it to a new level last week.

To be fair, it’s hard to blame them because they’ll just get in trouble if they say too much especially when it comes to transfers.

All they have to do is to not add fuel to the fire, that’s it. Eden Hazard, that’s the only rule.

Hazard was speaking ahead of Belgium’s game against the Czech Republic on Monday night and was asked would he listen to Real Madrid if they offered a move and, well…

“Of course I’ll listen. We all have dreams. It could be Spain, it could be staying with Chelsea.”

Before that, he said of Real Madrid,

“If you look at the last two seasons, it looks easy for them. The Champions League is a particularly difficult competition to win…The Champions League is a goal for me next season. I’ve never won it and I’m always trying to improve. That’s my main goal: always do better. We’ll see where we get.”

And he also revealed that he had not been offered a new deal with Chelsea and said a cliché that will send shivers down the spines of Chelsea supporters.

“In football you never know.”
