Just another uneventful day in the life of El Diego.
Diego Maradona’s Dorados side missed out on promotion on Sunday by losing in the second leg of their Mexican second division final.
Having beaten Atletico San Luis 1-0 in the first leg, Dorados went down 4-2 – losing 4-3 on aggregate.
Maradona had been sent off during the closing stages of the first leg for abusing match officials over their failure to award his team a penalty. As a result, he watched this game from the stands where he was seen drinking from a beer bottle.
Videos later circulated on social media appear to show the 58-year-old aiming punches at a crowd of reporters before being escorted away by security staff.

The 58-year-old World Cup winner had surprisingly been appointed the manager of the club in September. Though many questioned the decision, a run of victories saw them rise from 13th in the 15-team league to the brink of promotion.
Dorados had taken the lead on the night with little over half an hour played, only for San Luis to equalise in first-half stoppage time. Having regained the lead on 57 minutes, Maradona’s men shipped two more goals in the final half an hour to take the game to extra time.
A single goal from the home side, scored by Maradona’s countryman, Leandro Torres, was enough to end Dorados’ promotion hopes.
