Diego Costa accused of biting Jan Vertonghen during Stamford Bridge bustup

The fallout from the ‘Battle of the Bridge’ keeps on coming.

Following Monday evening’s bruising 2-2 encounter between Chelsea and Spurs, that resulted in Leicester City being crowned Premier League champions, there have accusations and counter-accusations regarding who was to blame for two unsavoury melees on the night.

Whilst Mousa Dembele has been criticised for what looked to many like an eye-gouge, and Danny Rose may or may not have pushed Guus Hiddink to the ground after the game, the latest suggestion is that a Chelsea player may have committed a misdemeanor of their own.

A growing number of people – admittedly the majority of which are Spurs fans – believe that pantomime villain Diego Costa may have bitten Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen during the feisty affair. And they’re annoyed that it isn’t getting due coverage.

They’re pointing to blurred footage which supposedly shows Costa sinking his teeth into the tasty Belgian. You can see it here but we’re not entirely convinced if truth be told…

Still, they seem convinced by the blurry images, as seen below. Of course Costa has faced previous accusations of going a bit dental, but to the best of our knowledge he’s never actually followed through…
