Diego Costa knows no-one likes him, or Chelsea. Frankly, he does not give a hoot.
The striker has already served a three-match ban for his part in the ugly scenes during Chelsea’s 3-0 win over Arsenal this season that led to Laurent Koscielny’s red card. He has also been involved in various other allegations of foul play during his 15-month stay in England.
Not that the former Atletico Madrid man cares that people see him as the number one bad-boy of the Premier League. Indeed, Costa hit out at defenders and mangers who don’t like his all-action, all fouling displays.
Speaking in The Sun the Brazilian has a very simple message for any defenders who don’t like his high-jinks in matches
“Many times players have done stuff to me, like kick me. But I’m not a cry baby. I have 100% support from my manager, the club and the Chelsea supporters.
“So other people, other opinions, I don’t care, I’m not really bothered.”
Costa and his teammates are struggling this season, with the club in 12th place ahead of their weekend clash with West Ham, but he doesn’t see any reason yet for anyone to panic just yet,
“We know we can turn this around because it is the beginning of the season and we also know that we are the only ones who can turn this around.
“We are alone on this because Chelsea, it’s a club that the supporters give 100% support to but nobody else likes them. I am just beginning to understand this.”
You didn’t expect anything else from him did you?
