Michael Duffy tried his best to spoil the party for Rangers on Saturday.
The Derry native played against the newly-crowned Scottish Championship winners for Alloa on Saturday and very nearly dampened the Glasgow side’s celebrations in the match.
Even before kick-off it was clear that Duffy wasn’t interested in giving the champs an easy ride, as he refused to clap for the team’s guard of honour a they walked onto the pitch.

Then, Duffy actually sent his side into the lead just eight minutes in. The ex-Derry City player scored with a beautiful bottom corner finish from the edge of the box, which you can see from the video embedded below (apologies for the fact that it was clearly recorded using a potato).
However, Duffy’s strike wasn’t enough to win the game for his side, as James Tavernier spared Rangers’ blushes, who were awarded the trophy after full time.
