This is how you deal with speculation.
Derry City may have some cash in the bank, but the Twitter bot that managed to pick up a ridiculous rumour about Pepe Reina leaving Napoli last night has surely been disabled this morning after this epic burn.
The ex-Liverpool goalkeeper is understood to be looking to leave the Serie A side this summer, but last night it was suggested that he could be Brandywell bound in what would be the biggest transfer coup of all-time for the SSE Airtricity League.

Gerard Doherty is the current number one at the Brandywell, and while they may have a few shillings to rub together, and will be adding to their squad, fans expecting a massive transfer announcement have been left sorely disappointed.
Doherty’s job, for the moment, appears safe.
