Dele Alli’s season could be over, after the Tottenham midfielder was charged with violent conduct.
The charge relates to an alleged punch on West Bromwich Albion’s Claudio Yacob during the 1-1 Premier League draw. If found guilty by a panel of former referees, the England international could face a three-match ban.
Tottenham go into their last three games seven points behind league leaders Leicester City and five clear of third-placed Manchester City, with their last three games coming against Chelsea, Southampton and Newcastle United.
The FA’s statement confirms that the incident in question was not seen by referee Mike Jones, or by either of his assistants.

With 10 goals and nine assists, the PFA Young Player of the Year has been vital to Spurs’ likely top-two finish and would be a huge miss for the club.
